Individual SAT, ACT, or GRE Tutoring

The number of sessions is tailored to each student’s needs:

• $120 per hour (each session is typically two hours long).

Here are a few sample packages (each session is 2 hours long):

• 6 sessions =  $1,440
• 8 sessions =  $1,920
• 10 sessions = $2,400
• 12 sessions = $2,880

Some students may not need both Math and Verbal test prep. No one is required to sign up for a “package,” just the appropriate number of sessions for each student.

How much homework is involved?

• An hour and a half to two hours of homework is assigned for each session.

How frequently should students meet with each tutor?

• During the school year, a single two-hour session once a week works best.
• During the summer months, twice a week for two hours each session can be a good idea.
• Whatever you choose, it is best to make ACT, SAT, or GRE prep a priority. Students should set aside a group of dates to meet with tutors. For example, every Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 might work for your student.  Spreading sessions over many weeks or months without meeting at least weekly is not as effective.
