Scoring?

SAT: Total score out of 1600, with two scores of 200-800 for the Verbal and Math sections possible. Essay score – three separate scores are given on a scale of 1-8 for each of the following categories:  Reading, Analysis, and Writing.  Two readers score each category on a scale of 1-4, and the readers’ scores are then combined for a possible high score of 8 in each category.

ACT: Total composite score of 1-36 (average of 4 sections). Scores of 1-36 per section. Essay score 2-12.  Two readers score each essay on a scale of 1-6, and the readers’ scores are then combined for a possible high score of 12.
